wink mirrors
Well, I do hope you like it as much as I do. I thought that it would just be something that I used for track days and that was about it. At this point however it's staying in the car.
My only real fear right now, there are two I guess are that...
1) I will not be happy with the lack of dimming ability. I assume that it will not work properly but I guess I will have to give it a run and
2) How I will adjust when I get in another car that doesn't have this mirror. I may buy a few more for our other cars and maybe have a spare. There is just so much more information and much of it is interesting and the sort of thing that it strikes me that I should maybe know about.
So far I'm honestly digging it.

How much does the convex distort distance perception? I'm torn on whether to go straight or convex. These things are pretty cheap, so I guess it's not that big of a decision. Hmmm...
I guess its noticeable but its also in scale with everything else you see in the mirror and like the side mirror, you adapt just more quickly as the mirror is huge and much closer.
If you have doubts just think of it as getting one mid priced windshield wiper that leaves streaks. You may replace it before long but its not gonna brake the bank.

lol, weird way to look at it. I'm going to keep it in daily to get used to the distortion. Hoping to nearly eliminate the use of my side mirrors... for some reason I just don't trust them. I don't ever pass unless I can see the front bumper in my rear view.

I placed an order with Summit Racing for some other stuff and decided to add on a $10 **** 300mm convex mirror just to try it (since I already was bearing the S&H charge anyway). It fits like a glove with its spring-loaded clips. I've only driven a little bit with it, but I'm not sure I like how it makes everything look farther away. You can see that there is a car there, but it has to get much closer to tell what kind of car it is. I think I might try one event with this and then perhaps switch to a non-convex one to compare.
I just realized this at a recent track event, but always looking in your rearview to see whos passing you is almost a hassle. side mirrors seem to be all i need. the larger mirror is awesome for street driving though
