I just got screwed out of going by my boss to, oh well, I guess I'll have to do more testing on back roads. They might be holding another RallyX later inthe Month.

Let me know too I would be very interested your guards. How much do you think it will weigh when your done? Is it 1/4 inch or so of stainless or aluminium?
Great work by the way.

The width is 3/16 which should be more than enough for a street car that hits up dirt road and some rallyX which is what mine does. It is aluminum which should keep the weight down a bit but I don't have a full weight yet as we haven't weighed it. I'll try to have that info friday as well. 1/4 inch might be available to once this is tested and if there is enough demand to actually do any production.

The fabricator has some land adjacent to his shop that we might be using for Rallyx once the snow melts or at least testing so it will be beaten on severly before offered to anyone else. Thanks for the interest. I'll keep everyone updated.

Alright so the front plate is finished. Don't worry about pretty as it is more to test by beating on rather than looks. The finished product will be far superior in, well, finish. The front lip is removable so that if it is destroyed it can be replaced without replacing the entire plate. The plate is aluminum but the front lip is stainless. The front lip will also be thicker and available as either a 90 degree or a 45 degree ( went with 90 since I have no front lip). Sorry about no lifted pics but forgot to take them when it was being finished. These are from my driveway. Enjoy

I'll be at RallyNY if anyone wants to see it in person and I'll put the link up to the fabricator when he gets his website up.

Just curious what you use to space the plate down with where it bolts to the front underside of the radiator support?

My car followed a set of plans I stumbled across that has a 2-3" tall thing that's welded onto the radiator support to space it down so that it doesn't interfere with the intercooler.

Thanks,

Dave

No official weight yet, but should be around 30-40 pounds when all said and done. We are putting together the final production piece right now, had 2 fab stuff for the press first. Looking around locally for a scale to weigh it at. we are doing it out of a buddy's garage so it is taking some time as we all go to school and have full time jobs.
