Mid-Ohio April 11......
There are multiple threads on getting ready to track your car but the Evo is more capable out of the box than most of what shows up at any event.
Also, most places do not allow ride alongs unless you are an instructor. One place that does however is Nelson Ledges. Its a bit primitive in some ways but if you like the wild west of track days it may be up your ally.
I think I am going to try and do Mid Ohio with you guys. I will be at Buschurs this saturday as I have a LOT of stuff to do to the car.
I need to get my cams installed, get my brakes set up, get the suspension put on and tuned and then get a little dyno time with David.
After that it's on like donkey kong. I have plans on beating the tar out of a bunch of 911 GT3s at my PCA events this year and so it's time to step up and start laying down some serious times.

I will come and watch the NASA Nationals this year though.

Sure. It is definitely a track that you learn from everytime you are out.
Greg has more time on the track than I, so he would be a good resource. Jon K has plenty of AWD laps at Mid Ohio and he would be good person to talk with.

Al, Grattan is on my schedule already, and who wouldn't want to drive the pace car at RA???? I may show up at a few Midwest events, it just depends how the summer goes.
You got a car I can drive??

So far I have three 2008 events, and two from 2007 "post-nationals" that I would fight to get included as "qualifiers"
Not sure what I will be in though, at the least TTF in either the Neon or the Spec V. If things go well then the Mongoose GTP.
I also hope to make it to Nationals this year..

I'm converting to SCCA this year, but will still attend the rare NASA event. I'm sure I will see you out there.

So how many guys are going anyway and who wants to go in on a garage? Anyone?
Also, if you give up some of your time and volunteer to do something do they actually cut you a break on fee's?
I have a few marketable skills they may be interested in so I am pondering dropping them a line.

In that configuration, it was pretty much running AMS Evo TTU times... and still only putting 400 or so HP to the ground.
Now, they have begun construction on version 2.0, and it will have cams and some upgrades to the LS7, it is also getting the 6-speed paddle shift automatic from the C6 vette. It also has a carbon tub. It should be 250lbs lighter, 100more HP to the wheels, and a bit faster because of the ability to pick gears, I can't wait.
