San Diego Tour
Anyone planning to sign up late? I had thought Jbrennen was going to race when he told me he was looking forward to going up against me, but I don't see him signed up yet. I do see the Berry family in BSP with Frank Miller plus Mr. Grice in the Berry-mobile with me in SM. Also, an EvoM guy named Joey is in SM with us, but he said he's fairly new.
Anyone else planning to attend this or the Pro? I don't see Sias or Navid signed up for either...

Yes, spark issue is resolved, or at least it is resolved at altitude. We'll see how she performs at sea level tomorrow night. I'll be taking logs and sending them back for a sea level retune to help for both events.
Maybe he'll do the Pro, but he's not signed up yet - hope he does.

Less stuff? Rain means more stuff - mulltiple sets of wheels and tires.
Weather.com says 10% chance on Saturday and 40% chance on Sunday with temps in the 50s. If I can avoid the rain, then that would be some damn good boosting weather.

I mean less stuff 'cause i'm local, and if it's raining i don't have to bring my hankooks or tools to change them. I'm fat and don't want to put all that stuff in my car. Hope to see you all out there I'll prob be there around 5-6pm Friday. White 9 with hankook stickers on windshield and fenders and local number is 206sm. Hope to meet other drivers. Joey

That's the problem, though. Even if it rains, the race tires may be better, and the conditions could change from hour to hour, so you have to be ready to run your best tires. I'll use my V710s unless there is standing water.
Wow, 206? Didn't know we could have numbers that high.
I'm about to tech and then do the TNT course, so I can quickly switch back to street tires and head to Fontana for the Screet Car drags TNT from noon-6pm. I'm hoping the noon start will keep it from being too crowded, but that's just random hope. Already got my tune tweaked for sea level and will probably do some more tweaks after logging my first drag run.

The curse continues - ran a 12.01 @ 114.97 with a wussy 1.76 60'. My infamous 12.000 was with a 113 trap, but a 1.66 60'. I might get one more run before it closes, but 115 is disappointing anyway for the mods and pretty good conditions. Been weak ever since the cams went in. Looks like ~360whp unless Fontana is slow or something.

The good weekend continues with a good Day 1 to the Tour. It's really just a battle between myself and Marshall in the Berry BSP Evo, but in reality it's not that much of a battle. He's way faster in that car than I am in mine, and there's just not much I can do about it.
We both hit one cone on our first two runs (I hit the same cone each time), and he was 1.2-1.5 seconds faster in those two. On run 3, we both got clean, but I got a little faster, and he had a little gravel excursion that slowed him down significantly, so I lead by .3s for today. If it rains tomorrow, then I'm probably screwed, because they have rain tires, but if it doesn't, then it will be cool to see if I can put enough pressure on Marshall to keep him from surpassing me. Either way, it's a bit discouraging to look at my empty back seat and then look at their full leather back seat...same with looking at their stinkin stock engine bay. Good gracious, that car is fast for having so little power mods. I guess being a IX RS makes a difference, though, in terms of weight and ability to make a lot of power with few mods, but still!
Day 1 Results
Tom Berry went on to whoop me by 2 seconds, and even Christine beat my best run by a full second on her first run, and it was clean. That car must rock, and they can drive like gangbusters, but wtf is up with CSP being faster than everyone?
