Heikki was always heavier, thats why the poor performance. I heard he was upset with the team over that. There were certain fridays when he was quicker and therefore should have been the one on lighter fuel for quali, but Ron was always looking out for Lewis eventhough they say they have no #1.
Yes, thanks for correcting that.

Heiki was usually 2-3 laps heavier than Hamilton at the start, so that explains some of his qualifying time delta. But he should have been consistently faster than the mid pack teams, and should have been able to improve his position during the race. That rarely happened.

Can you imagine the way Massa felt? Having done everything right and then having it taken from you in the last two turns. That completely sucks. I bet his stomach turned inside out. I know mine did when Hami was eventually passed.

You could just see it all over his face on the podium... In the following press conference too.

I was surprized they were celebrating that much right away. Sure Hami was in the right place when Massa crossed the line, but that's not what really mattered, Massa had the win pretty much in the bag a long time before that. I would have been watching Hami before I went crazy.

Next year could be really good. Now that Renualt has figured out how to use the Bridgestone tires they are back up with the leaders. But with all the rule changes it will be hard to predict.

Next year should be boss. The cars are going to look so clean with all the extra aero crap removed.

Yes. They are adding grip by moving to slicks and removing grip by banning all the aero add-ons. Next year requires smooth body work, no rabbit ears or crazy vortex generators everywhere. They also get in cockpit adjustable front wings. they are hoping to make passing better by making the car less sensitive to dirty air effecting the aero grip.

Guys...

Check out some picks of the Barcelona test today, Honda & BMW both with 2009 interim cars. This gives us a real good look at 2009 aero.
