Rollbar - Camera Mounts

I wanted to know what others have done to mount cameras on their Harness Bars, RollBars and Cages? I'm sure others have done this, so post up your ideas!

I personally have the Autopower Rollbar and am looking to mount my camera to the bar directly behind the seat for optimum viewing.

There's a nice one here, but it's $110 for just a mount: I/O Camera Mount

The I/O one is pretty much what everyone uses.

booom29, with the autopower rollbar installed, can you fit race wheels in the back? I am looking to go that route but would like at least 3 wheels to fit.

I know this is not the on a roll bar, but here is what I have been using. I am planning on the AP 4pt cage at the end of this summer. But I am thinking of doing something similar to this. Maybe making an attachment that can mount to the bar that will have a point for a camera to screw on to.

Early version, now the ends are dipped in rubber. Keeps the creaking down.

If you have a roll cage just have someone weld on a mounting tab and put the camera directly on that.

What a small world. I fabricated almost an identical version of this mount maybe a year ago. I used a "L-beam" just like the one in that thread. I eventually realized it wasnt all that safe, but still stuck with it. I recently removed my rear deck and what not, where the rear speakers are. Once i removed it i realized that there were plenty of holes and what not in that area. I decided to then cut my L-beam and fabricate it into another camera mount and mount it by the passenger rear speakers area, sort of close to the rear window. Its safer, much more compact and neat. I would recommend my new route way more than mounting a L-beam to the driver and passenger seat.

Not unless you take the front seat out to get them in. Which is what i do since i hate driving anywhere far in the sparco. In fact the bar makes a nice tire rack in the back after you get them in there.

I bought a U bolt from home depot with a couple nuts and a small clamp to hold it down. Cost less than 5 bucks and works like a charm.
