thats a true racer on 3:03, that takes a lot of bawlz to run into a car thats on fire.

That is the saddest thing I have ever seen......3:30-4:50. Had to stop watching, it brought tears to my eyes.

I guess being a track worker myself....this hits close to home.

While Ayrton Senna's was not as dramtic as others...i feel the most for the loss of him. He was the best...period.

Agreed, Senna was the best....
I remember watching that live. Not seeing him move at all from the helicopter shots was terrible.

Agreed...that was the saddest and definitely had the most impact for me. I sat shocked for a minute from that one

It was a downer. We take for granted how incredible piloting a misile can be because of how easy todays drivers make it look.

Its a testament to technology both in car and barrier that the last 10 years havent been as fatal as 50 years ago.

If you ever catch the HD episode with Mario Andretti those stainless steel tubes they used to run circa the 50's early 60's killed drivers in crazy numbers.

Looking back at some of the recent crashes it really makes you appreciate how far F1 safety has come in the last decade alone. For me the saddest one (besides the safety worker getting run down) was Ricardo Paletti ... seemed a fairly minor incident (esp. compared to the others), and then they didn't pull him out fast enough before the car went up in flames out of nowhere ... damn.
