Hillclimb Recon Run

Evo 8, stock Advans, stock suspension, catback, flash, ACT HD, no other mods.

9/10ths recon run of hillclimb course on a closed, private road. This thing is steep, although the video makes it look flat; the hill at the start is at least a 45 degree slope; the left at the huge house is even steeper (almost 60 degrees). It is all uphill; there are no flat spots.

Don't you wish this was your drive home every day?

Was that wolf ridge? I was thinking of coming down for this. I instead did the PHA hillclimb in Weatherly, Pa this past weekend. So how did you do? We had George Bowland at ours this year. I believe he has the record for FTD at the wolf . Needless to say he did beat me.

Awesome video. It's crazy how fast 2nd gear can be on something really tight.

Hill climbs FTW. Turbo cars love going uphill.

This was at Wolf Ridge. I had the pleasure of driving up the course over 30 times in one weekend. Pure Evo heaven.

Several of the competitors rode up with me and were impressed with what a stock Evo on stock tires can do.

Rick,

The video is not working for me, any chance to reupload it or check it? Glad you had fun up there, looks like a great event from the pictures and videos I have seen. Wish I could have made it to watch but wound up having some conflicts. Hope to make it up to an HSCC event soon!

Devin

First of all, congratulations on your One Lap experience- again!

I'll PM you a direct link; the one above works for me.

Look forward to seeing you again soon.

To compete, you do. I was not competing. It was still fun.

Absolutely!!
You’re still running the course so the fun factor is there

I have been dying to run a hillclimb with my Evo but the only "hill" that we have in So. FL. in a highway on ramp and thats not much fun.

How often does Wolf Ridge have hill climbs? How far is Wolf Ridge from Charlotte?

Thanks

Wolf Ridge is run every year, in the late Spring. It is about two hours from Charlotte (a little less if you mean the airport area). Search for Wolf Ridge Hillclimb and you'll find the site. It is also on CCR's site (www.ccrscca.com).
