Wing recommendations?
Ok, so due to a mistake at the San Diego Pro Solo, my wing got damaged. I wasn't there for the Pro, so the guys I went there with had to handle my car in my absence. We went there in a 3-car toter with a huge rear door that is lowered and raised by a steel cable. Mine is always the one on bottom, so it has to come out first. When backing it out, they had forgotten to disconnect the cable, so it sliced into my wing:

Honest mistake and one that I feel really bad about, because they were doing work on my behalf in my absence, and the one who was "driving" it has told me to just give him the cost to repair/replace, and he'll pay it. I hate to put that burden on him, so I've been trying to find a cost-effective solution. Here are the options I've come up with, and I'd like some input on what you guys think is the best use of money:
1) Order a gurney flap and put it on the rear edge to cover the slice. Already got the gurney flap, but the slice is growing, and although I can mostly cover it on the top edge, the underside is still exposed, and the interior CF is exposed with no coating, so it's continuing to deteriorate. Very cheap band-aid that won't do me much good I don't think.
2) Talk to dealer about replacing the wing under warranty, because I coincidentally have just started seeing the signs of the normal whitespotting/deterioration in other places on the top surface of the wing that are not related to racing. There are 2 noticeable spots that will continue to get worse, so technically I should be able to get a new stock wing under warranty, but we'll see how that conversation transpires. To this point, they have honored all warranty work while knowing I race the dog mess out of the car - I have never tried to get them to warranty something I broke while racing, so they have been cool with me.
3) Repair wing. Not sure if this is possible, where I would do it, or how much it would cost.
4) Purchase new stock wing if none of the above work. I imagine it's a ridiculous cost, though, without gaining anything.
5) Aftermarket wing. This would be an opportunity to get a very good wing that will help for autox and more specifically time attack, but I'd also like one where the wing itself can detach from the base mount for drag purposes. Any such wings that fit that mold?

Warr, I can't offer any real advice on the wing, but I think you'll have to replace it (either under warranty or some other way) since the gash is growing.
But props to you for working so hard to be understanding when someone else injured your baby, and for working so hard to save him money. Good man.

Evo9Kid, I have considered that, but then that does me no good for racing, and that's what the car is built to do.
Zbomb, yeah, something just like that. Eek, is that one $1700, though?

It looks like it may be patchable but it's not really my area so what do I know.
One would hope that you could simply use a resin of some sort to stabilize it and then use a flap on top and it may hold?
Hope it works!

You Did ask for a very good wing
I would think the most cost effective solution would be to search Google for a DIY CF kit and see if you can repair it yourself.

Well, I'm not looking for cost-effectiveness in place of quality and performance. DIY would probably not be a good idea for me (hah), and I am willing to spend money on this, but I wanted to make sure of my viable options first. If I went with something like the Voltex, I'd probably split the cost with him as long as that halved cost was less than the cost of my alternative (i.e. new stock wing).

Indy, yeah, I just found a GG IX wing in great condition for $300. I know the sides of the IX wings are a different material, but they do fit exactly the same between years, right?
