Tommi retires, Burns to Subaru
Those are official news from the WRC scene. Tommi will retire for good at the end of 2003, whereas Burns signed a 2-yr contract with Subaru, his former team, starting next season.

Big news, but not surprising at the same time. I figured Tommi would retire after his problems with Subaru the last 2 seasons. It's sad to hear he's going, but at the same time he hasn't really been that exciting the last few years either.

Better retire now and prevent being kicked out by even Hyundai (Juha Kankunen) That's just embaressing. PPL get old but his achievements in the Lancer EVO will be remembered.
Now, let's see if jani paasonen will be able to carry on the success by being the driver. I think Paasonen will be very successful unlike alister. Collin Mcrae in a Lancer is wierd because the unique drivetrain of Lancer may be too much for him (causing more wrecks)
