Did you guys see that in Car and Driver mag? Thats faster than the street class cars that ran Redline time attack right? Its also the same config... i'm looking at the track map #13... thats damn good for a street car right off the showroom floor.

Viper ACR 1:55
New GT2 1:59
Z06 2:01
Nissan GTR 2:01

Whoaw... those are some fast as street cars. Redline time attack street record is a 57xx right?

So you could go buy a stock ACR and throw street tires on and win the street class then put R compounds on and win modified.

stock tires on the GT2 arent redline "street class" level tires. So for the comparision its invalid.

What tires was everyone else on?

Very good point... after looking again... the GT2 and Viper were on Pilot sport cups, so the time is not relevant. I wonder what it would run on PS2's.

I don't think I have ever seen an EVO on Pilot Sport Cup's? What about you guys?

I saw a GT3 RS in my parking lot with them on and they looked nice and sticky!

Plus also remember that the Viper would have to run a maximum tire size of 285 to be eligible for Redline TA street class. I believe they come stock with 345s in the rear so that would probably hinder it a bit .

Razorlab has been running them for a while, hes says basically its a RA-1 with a stiff sidewall and double the price.

And I'm guessing you love them right?

EVO looks simple but aggressive.

Not sure who the driver was or his background.

The ACR should have gone faster than a 1:55

Has a car on street tires ever gone faster than 1:55 there? Excuse my ignorance of the track, i'm on the east coast. I'm surprised that a stock car from the factory ran a time that no time attack street class car can do.
