How corrosive/damaging are DTC60's
After washing my DTC60 dust off the rims, I was left with big spots of rust color on the driveway. Very similar to what Hawk Blues' lefts as their trademark. The blues were notorious for fusing to the rims and damaging them once wet brake dust dried (like at a wet day at the track).
Are the DTC60's the same? Or are they more forgiving? Can the washing wait till you get home after a track weekend or does one have to be paranoid and figure out how to wash the rims after every session (if it is a rainy day).
Thanks...

I've used both DTC-60s and DTC-70s for over a dozen track days. I have not had a problem washing off the dust with soap and water. I do Zaino the wheels when they are new though, which I think makes a big difference. I try to wash them right after I get home, but sometimes they have set for a week without any ill effects.
I have heard of others complaining about the DTCs ruining rims though. The only thing I can think is that the Zaino coating is making a difference or my wheels aren't getting quite as hot.

Thanks! Just to clarify, I'm concerned about the damage that would only occur when the brake dust gets wet and then dries off. If it stays dry, it does no damage.

I'm running DTC60's and have not experienced any ill effects. I haven't had them in much rain this year though - oddly enough I know.
I had a set of Hawk Blues that I was going to run this year as an extra set, but got rid of them after reading all the potentially corrosive issues that the OP is referring to. That and I didn't think they matched up well for my 3400lb ride.
