The first year we are restricted to 125 average and 140 tech speed.
5500 continuous at 125 and I think it was 6200 for 140 bursts. Sounds like I will be setting up the 5v fuel temp input then

The reason I am asking is other than EGT issues, I can build any motor I want right now so I am leaning toward a long rod 2.1. I will have it geared with a different FD in the later years when I am allowed to move faster anyway, but making enough power at 6-6500 to sustain 160 average means alot of extra load so I wasnt grokking a difference between 6500 and lugging and 8000 powered out.
Care to share the "why" of "it will not"?

you just need to change the final drive, as is it is just not going to like it...
Its cheaper to change the the FD then rebuild the motor and trouble shoot the heat and stresses that its going to create at those speeds...

Current update-
First year is testing...a 2.2 English Long Rod with a decent unrestrictive turbo on E98
Aero is now my primary concern as the car in stock form is nervous at 150-160 in current trim which is stock aero (MR with zerolift) dropped on 275s. It feels that front end is loose while the rear with stock wing and VG actually feels planted. All of it will be getting upgraded.
