CA Sport Evo in World Challenge
We'd be happy to meet anyone from evom, for sure. We may even need help in the pits if you're handy with a wrench.
The plan was to go to the TA, but you're right, its more of a "fun" thing to do for PR, and right now there is more dev to do. For the TA to be worth the time there needs to be a proper aero package developed, and new tuning for a proper fuel. We'll get there too, but just not this year.
Btw, the camber was due to other constraints not related. Vesko can set a car up better than most, i'd put my money on him any day.
I know what you're sayin'. TC will be sweet with all the de-tuning next year (we also campaign a 330 e90 in TC).
I can't wait for all the GT2 action next year in ALMS. The new M3! Yes please! And the corvettes coming down a class to scrap it up. It will be good times. Have you been to a WC/ALMS weekend?

LB should be a great time. Do you know wes? I think him and his buddy (haven't met him yet) that have been posting in this thread will probably go too.
MMP is only about 6 hours from you too. That is my home track and is a first class facility.
the front cambers changes base on tires. The rear should never be more than 1.1 max. any more than that the car will be really loose for high speed track. Beside that i'm not going to give out free info
MY tires collecting that have been dial in on my time attack evo are.
Michellin blue
BFG R1
Toyo R888
Nitto NT01
Hankook C91 and C51
So i pretty much have suspension settings for each tires setup, slow speed track, high speed track, direction of the track, and configuration of the track
Too bad Vesko will not be at SLB. it would be interesting to see how well my evo stack up to a speedworld challenge evo.

Some Info and Pics
Very funny, but thanks for all the support here!
I'll try to answer a few questions, and I have posted new pics on the team site:

also click the photo link for more of RA. Thanks to Colour Tech South Motorsports Photography for the great shots.
I've also written a little about RA on my blog. . .
As for money, we don't have any. The engine: it's great, just needs a little more development but we found out a lot while back East. If you remember it was as fast as the other cars at Miller, but it wasn't running safely, so we took a step back. The transmission (stock), not going to cut it. Vesko's suspension abilities, never in question.
SCCA Pro Racing?! I just don't know, but I do feel the the new LLC formed by Peter Cunningham and Bob Woodhouse is headed in the right direction. They certainly have the knowledge and ambition to improve the situation. It just a matter of time. They were planning to announce the 2009 schedule in Atlanta. I haven't heard what it is, but I know they are very close to finalizing it. That is a step in the right direction. Beside getting the schedule out earlier, one of their goals is to increase car count. That's going to improve the racing and bring more fans to the series. They'd
like to reach out to the SCCA Nationals and Koni. I would love to see this happen, but based on our recent experiences I'd have a hard time encouraging the small teams. When Mike Davis heard me talking to Bob Woodhouse about how we were trying to build a reliable, yet fast car for less money (we were at tech during the race at Miller) he jumped in said "It's all about the money, all about the money." Maybe it is, but I'd still like to think not, not that it's inexpensive in any way. For us (mostly Vesko) it's all about the hard work and pain.
In-car footage, the SCCA has the rights to it, but all the teams use it on their sites, etc.

I take all this to mean the SCCA isnt imposing any weight or HP restrictions then? What about aero work?
I liked the side exhaust. I remember seeing flames on a downshift on the TV shoot out.
Unfortunately in that series money is a big part of it. It took Caddy factory sponsorship pulling out to give the others a chance. How can a privateer team hold up to millions of bucks being thrown at a car?
Honestly, if you guys could take next season and develop the car into a top ten finisher everytime, that would be a success. Then two-three years into it you may have a top three car. I am sure Vesko needs to run at least one full season against the likes of Pobst and Pilgrim.
I was impressed with Davis this year and that Mustang. The Aston is lightning fast too. I am glad it was resticted after its debut. It ran circles around guys on the straights.

The new TC rules package looks great. I wonder how they will accurately evaluate gearbox changes though... once a few cars were allowed to have them due to inadequate OEM boxes, everyone petitioned them...
CA Sport guys and gals, I have no idea what the Evo rule set is... any chance you can post a link?
