Wingless FTW

Clic here to see the world's fastest EVO in the 85704 zip code.

you gotta by kidding me???are you serious???
they take off the wing cuz thay go straight for at most 13 second,,and thay dont need it.the aerodynamics are for sure making the car goes slower just really very little, but helps a lot of downpressuring the car and helps traction for wheels which touches the track.

for cars like you said evo ,,which is drag racing is the wing wortless, unless the evo is beating the max speed then you need it like salt.i mean the wing.

There are two trains of though on what causes the lift of a wing.

One has to do with Bernoulli's equation and the idea that a faster body of air on one side causes lower pressure and that pressure difference causes lift. . .

The other idea, and one that NASA promotes, has to do with flow turning. This is the principle of "any action causes an equal and opposite reaction". That is what you are seeing with the smoke turning around the bottom side of the wing. The wing is applying a force on the air moving around it, so therefore the air "pushes back", therefore pushing the wing up or down . . .

it was meant in jest. but you have a good point, there is still discussion on how wings work.

OT, not like global warming, thats been decided.

Is that the A2 tunnel in NC? I'm planning on taking my car down there this spring. If you don't mind I'd love to hear about your experience and how they were to deal with. Did you guys do any parts swapping or testing, or just to get a baseline for the car. . .

PM me if you don't want to muddy up this thread. . . Thanks!!

any chance that would make an improvement? I don't know exactly how the subi design is intended to work or even how it is shaped.
