2009 BSP Discussion
But in reality, the average speed on most courses is more like 40 mph, implying that your 60 sec course is only 2/3 mi long. This would imply that your car is able to achieve an astounding low of 1.33 mpg. I can't get mine below 5 mpg, even on 27 psi of boost with 104 octane race gas. What am I doing wrong? :-)
it was a really rough estimation with some rounding error, but it includes all the time spent idling in grid and driving back and forth to the trailer, etc. It's not like I precisely measured the fuel quantity before and after each run or anything.
Well, duh! I already know that!
I need to be over 2 secs faster on a 60 sec course to PAX at the national champion level. However I did manage to win BSP in the NE Div championships, thanks to a certain Connecticut driver "wanting to spend more time with his family". Thanks, John!

BTW, I get between 4 and 5 mpg on a road course (93 oct tune, 100 Oct gas, 420 whp, 9000rpm).
