The IX is faster with more supporting modifications and is lighter. The X was not as modded as the IX. Just FYI

This was posted somewhere else in the forums. I would like to a race between the IX vs the X with the same power to weight ratio, suspension and brakes. I think that would really show which is the better car.

Nah, you don't feel it. Most Evo's, due to their limited suspension travel, run stiffer suspension and are driven hard (on track) will lift the inside wheel.

It was posted on 'IX vs X' thread before. This thread is most likely end up with people arguing IX vs X again and would get locked.

if you see the beginning of the clip, they showed that the x has only 320ps compared to ix 330ps..... thats a big advantage for a light ix in the straight line.....

True. Notice my inside wheel in the attached pic going over T2 at Infineon.

Good video and they both appeared to handle well. The Evo IX clearly had the straight-line advantage. You could see it pulling away in the straights and the X just couldn't keep up. Nothing a little power tuning couldn't fix.

After reading about Gates and Nils duke it out I'm not sure which one really scores as top dog. Both have a crap load of mods and both are very close.

I like that the 10 has bigger rotors and can fit bigger wheels without giving the car an abortion. But mod $4$ I think the 9 would whoop its **** on a track. Its just to easy to make the 9s fast and they are already pretty light.

Sadly for me it comes down to which one looks better.
