It's an 18' Aluminum ATC Trailer. Should be towing with it this weekend!

Ok, so got 3 tows under my belt now. Trailor follows the truck great. Truck handles the weight great (4900lbs total) and is netting 12.5-13.7 mpg

I've been securing the tie-downs over the axles in the rear straight back, and criss-crossing the front of the a-arms.

I use the T hooks up front without issue, the a-arms just make me nervous bro, which is why we also don't strap the wheels no?

Yeah, going through the wheels make me nervous - but I'm sure it's fine as a LOT of people do.

I wouldn't get anything less than a 18' trailer for a Evo enclosed or open. Enclosed is nice but open trials do great and I think are easier to tow with less wind resistance too. I want to find a good 20-22' Trailer so I can put tools and spare set of wheels and tires on the front

I was surprised how much room my 18' deck gives me. I load it towards the back for better balance, but I have several feet of unsused space up front.
Got plenty of room for a tire rack or toolbox; but all that weight would go right on the hitch which sucks.

Had a toolbox installed on the front of my 18' Aluminum Trailer.
*Note: that the car isn't loaded in the position I tow in, I just loaded it quickly last night to get everything back in the garage. I'll crank it down a bit more forward.

Did the same with a Husky box, however mine sits about a foot closer to the bumper, squished it in on both sides already and had to bang it out with a hammer but it's all good now!

im using 20 feet long electric brake both axle trailer.

That is why i changed my Montero limited to a 5.7l Tundra.

electric brake is a must and the great controler. I have the Thekonsa P3. Not that expensive and works great. you dont even feel the trailer when you braking and so.
here is the controller installed

Here's a dumb question, do you Have to have a brake controller, or does it start to brake automatically after awhile? I've only just started taking it on the hilly roads here and it likes to chase me for awhile but seems to slow down...eventually ...I got an 05 W/T chevy with the lil' 4.8. Same 20 ft. steel trailer with brakes on both.

you have to have a controller. The Thekonsa P3 gives you a plug and play option. I just literally had to plug in then calibrated. The calibration is soo easy the caveman can do it.
here is how its looks like. /white plug/

if you need some specific help , just ask. If i can i will help.,

Rob

the p3 is very subtle , you can even change the screen color to match yours.
here is how it looks like in the dash. Most people think its factory installed.
