Battery Relocation or Mini Battery

go with the mini battery.
Ive had a PC 680 in my DD for 4 years (3 winters) and it hasn't NOT started the car yet. I'm in the NE and in the winter it usually gets to freezing or below. I even took the car up to NH where it was -13 and the car started right up after sitting all night.
Moving the battery in the trunk will require running heavy gauge wire and installing a cut-off switch, thats more work, more weight and more money then just getting a mini battery and leaving it in the stock location.

I had a mini PC680 in my DD/AX car for many miles and 3 winters. I found that it lasted about 2 years then it stopped taking a full charge. NEVER was stranded. Once I noticed that it was straining a bit to start the car (with an AEM EMS that had to crank FOREVER) I just replaced it for ~$80.
I now run the PC680 in my dedicated race car that sometimes goes for months without being started. In the summer it fires up fine after a couple weeks of not running. In the winter I sometimes have to charge it if it goes for a month or two in REALLY cold weather. I replace it about every 2 years.
For the price I think you can't go wrong with the PC680.
If price is no issue - get this - 3.5#

Seems like a lot of good folks coming to bat in here. Thank You. If anyone needs a slightly used Optima yellow top, local to South Florida, PM me. I should have really thought about this in depth before jumping the gun I guess. Weight has always the enemy no matter the set up. It makes brakes work better, tires not as hot, and fuel not disappear so quickly.
