Silly question...... maybe.

Okay,

Haven't been out (driving) at a road course in almost 2 years! But I'm hoping I can get out at least a few times this year. One thing I really would love to do is do an event where I'm not trying to have smooth and controlled inputs but something more along the lines of really pushing the car to the limit (Think Block's Gymkhana vids).

Now, I doubt there are gymkhana events around that a amateur could take place in, or at all. I know I could try a newbie drift event or a car control clinic, but I'm not sure either of those are really what I am looking for. A drift event might be too rediculous and a car control clinic seems like it would be for people that haven't or will never race, aka boring.

Basically, I want to try crazy crap with my car in a controlled environment (not in a parking lot)

Input?

Thanks

Boltz

Start a shoe company, make oodles of money, pay someone to build you a sick *** car, build up your driving skill and rent out an abandoned airstrip.

Oh, you didnt say you wanted to be Ken? oh, well then I think your SOL...

The track that I go to most often has a skid pad to get tires warm. It is a lot of fun to go out there and just get loose..

Best bet is to hook up with a stunt driving company, they regularly do stuff like that.

All I have to do is rent out an abandoned air strip?

Not really, there was a local stunt driver that was part of the Evo scene in Orlando, he and his company rent the police practice course every couple months to practice. So we went along and shared the cost, took videos too

Wow. I figured hooking up with a stunt driving company was a fools errand.

So you want to be that white Evo drifting at the track before rolling?

I know I wouldn't want to be out there with someone trying to toss their car around rather than drive the course.
