Chiney,
There is only one event that I know of run in Florida. It is part of the Atlantic Cup Series. I am not 100% sure of the details, but here are the other races in that schedule:
Sandblast Rally - Cheraw, SC, USA - February 9
Rally Tennessee - Linden, TN, USA - May 24
Rally West Virginia - Elkins, WV, USA - August 2
Black River Stages - Harrisville, NY, USA - September 27

Well, i haev alot of appeal, seeing that im the only female in a evolution in the caribbean, and i havnt seen any other females from the states either, so i think to come to the states would be a nice move.
i dont care to race full time or for money, its just a hobby of mine.
so if you could send me a schedule of some nice events, not too far.
maybe something in florida

Stage Rally here in the states, PGT, SP or PGT depending on the sanctioning body. Another Driver and I also founded a Rally School up here in the Pacific North West that has put out over 500 drivers over the past 5 years.
We're doing our part to proliferate Rally in the World.

In fact, we postponed the last Rally School because some of the team was at Rally Barbados this year. LOL!
I'm building a new EVO 8 currently. Just retired (read SOLD) last year's stage car to fund the new build. But have had the car out for several competitions in its various stages of development.
Testing Video of some of the fun!

I'll get a few more shots at the upcoming shoot and event.
Welcome to the fold.

Chiney,
The events we compete in are two-day events. I think the USRC made it so that people can compete in the regional, or USRC. The reason we need those is in an impact situation it doesn't allow for tremendous head movement. Are you required in those rallies to run a HANS device?
What about a neon green? It would stand out tremendously.

HAR, i know they dont allow headmovements, i just dont feel comfortable when u look left and see the seat there. lol thats just me.
nope, i dont think anywhere in the caribbean yuo are REQUIRED to run the HANS device.
well there is a neon green car out here already. lol!
and a pink one... though i would never put my car in pink 0.
Aw EM@works,
a car with character is always nice to see. haha

I have competed actively in rally in the U.S. since 2002.
Initially I competed as a driver for the first few years in an old school Audi Quattro with body work resembling that of the old Group B Audi Quattros. I had some success at the regional level in 2003, but with significant sponsorship being difficult to come by in the U.S., I stopped campaigning my own car in mid-2004, though I still own the car (out-of-date tag soup web site with info here: http://www.socalrally.com).
Not being able to afford to continue campaigning my own car, I started co-driving in mid-2004, gradually working my way up to increasingly faster and faster cars and drivers. I have competed as a co-driver in several different Evo 6.5 rally cars, and also pretty regularly in an ex-New Zealand Group N Evo VII. The Evo VII started out as a Group N car, but as interest and participation in Group N in the U.S. waned, the Evo VII was converted to Open Class in the beginning of 2006. It's currently really a very mild spec Open Class car though (just cams, larger 34mm restrictor, and pro-level engine management and remapping). The team had some success with that car finishing 1= (tie equal 1st overall) in the 'Open 4WD' Class, and 2nd overall in the 'Overall 4WD' Class in the United States Rally Championship (USRC) in 2006, losing out on winning the USRC national championship 'Overall 4WD' class for the year by only 3 points in an extremely close battle (team web site here: http://www.mozartracing.com). That is back when the USRC was a true national series, as opposed to two regions with a runoff at the end, like it is now.
Since the driver I was regularly co-driving for now mostly competes in road course track events in a GT3, since 2007 I have been doing mostly one-off gigs co-driving for various different drivers, as and when needed. Still looking for another regular and nationally competitive co-driving ride ;-)
P.S. Side head restraint seats, as with a HANS device, seem like they would restrict your side vision which is obviously crucially important in a rally car, but in actual competition usage that proves not to be the case. Many rallyists in the U.S, as in other countries, have rallied with side head restraint seats in conjunction with a HANS device for several years now, and do not find it to be an issue during competition use. Actually, somewhat interestingly, the time when they are most inconvenient is at an oblique angle intersection on a transit.
P.P.S. As far as female Evo rally drivers in the U.S. goes, Amy Bebervanzo campaigned a semi-works spec Evo VIII for a number of years in the U.S. around the 2004-2007 timeframe, but I believe sold the Evo and competes in an Open Class Subie now.

Yes, Amy sold her EVO and we give her crap about it every single day.
When she was running that car, I was driving a DSM and would have almost literally given my left nut for it. That car was very well sorted and in good form.
She, like so many others I think, chose Subaru because of the factory level support for the average clubman driver. Mitsubishi could learn a few things from the Subaru contingent and massively improve their competitive image, consumer loyalty and marketability. But will they? Sadly not.
As for HANS, I don't personally use a HANS device, I run the DefNder HNR system in stead. For me, it's the comfort and the added protection of side to side impact restraint as well as forward restraint (something that HANS cannot do) which enables me to run seats without side impact panels. Plus, at $549, they are far more affordable.
An old Navvie of mine is now Navvie-ing in an Open Class EVO and I know of several female co-Drivers in Stage Rally now. Not so many drivers though. Most of my good friends and female drivers are, again sadly, in a Subaru.
And SoCal... if you ever need a seat, look me up.

The wheels/tires on the car in those pictures are specifically for blue groove clay Rally Cross and Sprint Course surfaces which run pretty much like really wet pavement, which are a special aggressive tread compound provided me by my tire sponsor. The tires used in the video are these same tires.
For stage rally, I use Gravel tires and enjoyed sponsorship with Hankook for a few years now. But that only extends to my 15in gravel and 17in tarmac tires. I actually DO have a set of 16in rims for an unspecified (wink) set of stage rally gravel tires and with those rims, I run the stock brakes so I am able to fit into the PGT class. In SP and NASA's GT class, I run the RS brake conversion and 15in wheels with various Hankook Ventus gravel tires.

I have a car that's built for rallying, but so far it has only been used for hillclimbs. Rally Colorado in September should be its first true stage rally.
