So what are my other options for suspension that would be comparable to the HD's? and Will I need to roll fenders for 255-40-17's? (Is this the best size to go with)?

 

Find a set of MRs, get the custom revalved to match your springs.

No fender rolling needed. Fits fine.

I'm working on getting a set of tires now. I'm talking to a tire shop and i think i might be getting sponsored . Ok so 350+ shipping right now for MR struts in the suspension forum. Do I have to get them revalved or could I just throw swift springs on them and call them good?

 

Revavling is only really needed if you want to be uber cool But no, you can run them outright.

I don't know about the VIII/IX, but on my car (an X on coilovers), it got squirrelly with just the rear bar. Adding a front bar helped a lot.
