u guys are gonna love this.... so the bad rod bearing issue re-appeared & I dont have the money to solve the issue anymore... so I am in a situation where i have to sell the car... its going back up for sale... got no choice.

Reese did a great job and this was not of his doing... this was a pre-existing issue before he got the car that came back to haunt me.

$28k for the car 'as-is'... needs a rebuilt bottom end, other than that its perfect.

Wow Nils.... Bad luck dude.

I don't know how much it will help, but my budget has been cut short too this year. At one point I did give up. I blew the tranny at Mid-Ohio in April and then 2 weeks later the bottom end.... I was thinking of selling the car....... Even told all the sponsors that I'm done and appologized. Gave time attack a shot and had boost problems etc.... I was just upset, 3 events - 3 terrible runs, pretty much DNFs.

Just cool off, maybe take the rest of the season off (that's what I was planning on doing), don't sell the car though. It will come around, it always does. Life is a black stripe, following the white one...

I have an idea, set up a donation fund. Everyone on Evom donates $5 towards the build. Get 1000 ppl to do it. $5k for rebuild. Small price to help a great guy.
Nobody wants you to leave Nils. Im sure everyone on Evom is with me.

 

Well, personally Nils, when your kids aren't physically around the one thing that your gonna think about, and want to spend time on, is the race car. Might be cool to show the girls how to rebuild a block, or if their not into it, it gives your mind something to focus on and a new challenge.

 

I don't know about 1000 people, but I'm certain you could get a lot of help from fellow members........

 

I would be more then happy to donate, and Nils knows this.
This car is really sick and I have been around to see some of the progression of it. I can completely understand where Nils is coming from and I really dont blame him for wanting to sell it.
I think he has had a extremely tough go of stuff lately and while the last thing I want to see is a friend upset and down about something like this, It may just be better for him to sell it.
Everything on this car is completely sorted out. everything. The motor needs rebuilt but after that the car will run laps all day with no issues.
Like I said before someone is getting a deal if they pick this car up, and I really hope they dont screw it up because it truly needs nothing.
