Ryan Gates Nurburgring Time Attack

So we all know that Mr. Gates is tearing up the the Redline Time Attack series with this Evo X. Ryan is showing eveyone what the X can do, but there is the ultimate time attack course that is the grand daddy of the them all....Nurburgring.

I am really curious to see what times Ryan and his X could bring it, feel like it would be the ultimate test of

#1 Ryans driving skill
#2 The X's capabiltiy.

So Ryan if your listening start a "send Ryan to Nurburgring" donation campain.

I'm sure I'm not the only EvoM fan that would pay to see it... literally. Keep tearing it up.

I know there is at least one guy/gal on this form that shipped their evo to Germany to do the ring... anyone have a figure on the costs?

Anyone in the Airforce know of Extra space on a C30 (C130? can't quite remember the designation) heading to germany?

Anyone live in Germany near the ring willing to throw in room and board for a few days?

It would also make for a great mag article (sponsorship) maybe

Heck get a couple of the Redline Time Attack top performers to go and help raise the profile of the Redline Series and its compeditors.

Like Wolvie just mentioned, a magazine article is probably the best bet. If Mr. Gates was so inclined (or maybe the moderators on this site), he could send a letter to all the top magazines asking if they would like to cover this story. If one of them bites, they'll pay for the costs...and they'll get one hell of an article out of it

If I knew for a fact the funds were going to be used for this specific purpose, I'd drop a $100 for a good cause.

We would LOVE to get Ryan's car and our Time Attack car to the ring one day! It would not be cheap though.

Man, I wish I was still there, I would help with all the logistics... but with that said, there are definitely some guys on the european forum that would love to help Im sure. Shipping is approx. $800-1400 per vehicle. That is one way of course. And if you can get a pilot to sneak the cars aboard a c-130, c-17 or c-5, then you're definitely good to go.. LOL.. anyway, that would be sick to see that car on the ring. The stocker X's from UK I saw and rode in were phenominal compared to my VIII.. Good luck you guys, hope this turns into a reality..

I got a quote for Fedex to ship by GTR over to Germany (Air Freight), it was about $23K. I guess it's not too bad.

Nurburgring is an awesome idea!

Also, I've always wondered how the top US built time attack cars would stack up against the top Japanese time attack cars. I'd like to see Gates' Evo X and the AMS unlimited Evo X run Tsukuba against HKS CT230R, Cyber Evo and the rest
