Which Fixed Back Racing Seats ??

I've been using the stock Recaro seats with my roll bar and 5-pt harness, but want to go to full fixed back racing seats.

There are a lot of choices out there, and some are pricey.
What's the best bang for the buck ?

Thanks.

Whatever fits well, puts you where you NEED to be, and doesn't move around. Best bet is to sit in them if you have somewhere close.

Yeap, most important thing is that it fits you properly. You really need to find a place that has them stocked and sit in them. I'm skinny and cheap, so the Sparco Speed and Sprints work for me.

You will spend a lot of time in your seats. Go sit in as many as you can and find what you like best.

Problem is, there are no shops nearby that have seats I can try.

I'm 5'8" and 157lbs and 32" waist.

Height and waist is important, but so is the shoulders in relationship to the eyelets and where the harness comes through.............

Personally I like Cobras the best.
However it depends on your budget, do you still drive the car on the street occasionally?
I have a set of bride Zetas and they are very snug but also comfortable (I am 5'11'' and 150lbs).
I am now looking to trade for Recaro Pole positions for the sole reason that climbing over the huge bolsters on the Brides is getting tiresome as I drive the car everyday.
Perfect for the track and my body, not for DD ingress/egress.
Now in terms of pure racecar support and all I like Racetech, Cobra and the Recaro SPGs.
As far as Buckets to live with everyday and good for the track nothing beats pole positions IMO.
I tend to stay away from sparcos as their fabric fades and wears wierd along with their seats being a little wierd in general ergonomically. Some people love em' I dont.

exactly, and you can go to the manufacturers sites and make sure your measurements sync to the desired seat.

I run a Sparco Evo 2 in our RX7. I find it to be pretty comfortable. Just so you know though, the Evo 2 is for bigger people, Im 6' 220 lbs.

Try to sit in as many seats as you can. Then make your decision from there.
