I think its better to just go with different car clubs than pay thousands of $ for membership and then yearly fee on top of that. Ive been there once during members day and they only run 4 sessions. If im going to be a member, they better let me drive all day, otherwise I rather go with PCA Advanced group and get 8 x 30min session per day lol

Membership at limerock is about $100,000 dollars. I wonder how much NJMP is.

initial fee is $15000, then $2,400 / year. Compared to Monticello and Lime Rock, this is cheap.

must have went down. it was like $75k when they first opened, plus your yearly fees/dues.

i agree that its MUCH better to just run with different org's and pay $200 for a few hours of track time. Nice track though, I've done 8 days there so far since they opened.

$75k, $100k.... Hell $15k plus a yearly due is too much for this working class stiff. I can barely afford a half dozen track days a year with maintenence/tires/brakes I go thru.....

Must be nice..

I was there this past weekend with NASA/PDA. Not super impressed with Lightning. Maybe thunderbolt is better. The track surface is great and the runoff is fantastic, but the course layout is lacking. Very short course for our heavy high powered cars. I finally got in a groove later in the weekend but still not as enjoyable as even Summit Point. At least Summit Point changes all the time (for better or worse) and is more technical. I have to say though the kart track looked awesome. It looked like it would be worth a trip just to do karting there.

I have to agree with you. The first time I did Lightning was at an SCCA PDX last year and it was a cluster f*ck because they only ran two run groups, so that resulted in some ridiculously long trains.

Last month I ran with NASA and had no issue with traffic, but I couldn't get into a good rhythm. Thunderbolt on the other hand is nice and challenging. Although I go through more than half a tank of gas for each session there

The kart track is also very nice, probably one of the best pavements in the northeast as most other tracks are considerably older. I've only run the half configuration in my buddy's Rotax kart, but in it's full configuration it's nice and long.
