Look at George Bowland. He probably holds more hill records then anyone in the US. He fought hard for many of them, and a few have eluded him many of times. This past weekend he set the Weatherly hillclimb hill record after many years of trying. He also set a hill record in Idaho and Montana this past month. I think
you just need an even playing field if your talking records!

I think the biggest factor in getting this hill back as a permenent race will be getting enough drivers to do it every year.

i think people is not really aware the value of the hill climb vs other weekend races.
Example AutoX. Sure you pay a little money for the AutoX , but surely you got a least running time of out every race i ever been.So really if you think about it and count , the Autox became not so cheap after all..
It is actually so little time we got to run, and we spend a whole day on it, i dont even bother to go anymore.
I did run Okemo 1 this year and it was sold out. So i guess some hill climbs are popular. I'm really serius about running them next year. It is a great bunch of people, and great place to run with your car.

This makes me wonder what the rules are going to be for this event. Since rally America is hosting it I wonder if they are going to require full rally prep? This will surely **** off the vintage guys if that's the case.

Okemo was hold by Hill climb organization , but you still get RA points if you run as a Rally car. If you run rally class then you need of course all the supplementary documents . Like the log book , licenses etc. So im sure for this hill climb would be a same or very close with they rules .

I agree with Dave, it's beyond aggravating that they put the 2 biggest hill climb events in the country and two of the best in the world on the same weekend.

I was super excited to make the trip from Texas but looks like it will have to wait another year.

That's the rub Dave, there may not be another MWHC for another 10 years....

So are you all-in for PPIHC next year, or headed East?

Big changes planned, or more of another evolution of your current car?
