Post pics of your custom painted race helmet!

Like most of us on this forum, I use a BELL racing helmet mostly for go-karting and other motor sport activities. My plain white helmet is fantastic, but I wanted to personalize it a bit.

I love art. In fact, I have two custom murals painted in my home. So I went on a mission to find an artist who could custom paint my helmet for me. This type of work is very popular in motor sports so I knew I'd find someone for sure. To my surprise, I discovered I live approximately 30 minutes away from Troy Lee Designs. They are the most recognized custom helmet paint shop on the planet. Their clientel is impressive, check-out their web site http://www.troyleedesigns.com/paint/

I brought my helmet in and discussed some design ideas with them. I basically left it up to them after that. Well, two months later, they gave me this:

I was floored when I saw what they did! The staff at TLD are simply the best.

Well, because you can see the Raiders wall flag in the reflection of the helmet.

Helmet Artwork Showcase

Hey guys,

I just found a kinda cool resource (although not large yet) of helmet painters. It might help someone out for looking for the "right" artist to paint their lid. I email the admin and he also said that they will be added the functionality to sort by country so you can filter out only those artists that are close to you. Not sure about the name "HelmetInk" but check them out anyways at http://helmetink.com if you are looking. Hopefully it works out.

is that just wrapped in CF vinyl? like the look, and this is not meant to be a d!ck, but you should strip it down and re-wrap it so its not overlapped and bubbly. right now it just looks cheap or broken.

if you get it clean, it would look SICKKKK. esp with the hello kitty sticker haha

That was the point It is cheap. Wrapping something that small with that many angle changes takes forever. Not worth the time for a joke. Next year it will likely be pink
