Some video of me at a Rallyx

This is me at one of the RallyX events we had here in the St Louis region this past year. I'm hoping that seeing this will convince some of you in the St Louis area to bring your Evos out and play in the dirt.

Looks like fun, but why were you lifting going into and through the corners? I thought you are supposed to flick it, hit the gas and go around the corners side ways with all four tires spinning

How did you do?

I have been itching to do one of those rally events, some of the courses I have seen can be a bit rougher than the one in your video. I have seen a few people land wrong in a rut and take out their front bumber, ouch! Of course most of the cars in the events around here were pickups and old beaters anyway. The car was a little to new at the time, but next year with the right course, I am going to give this a try. Get the cameras ready, I'm taking out some cones

A very nice video. Couldn't tell from the video so I'll ask: modified or stock?

The reason for the lifting is that I'm not that good with it yet, but I get better every time. I think at that event I got beat by one car and that was a Subaru 2.5 RS with rally tires and a really good driver. I had the stock tires on my car. I've done one event with my all seasons on it and tires do make a huge difference on the dirt. We usually try to keep the events pretty smooth so no one tears up thier car. Oh and my car is stock except for the boost gauge and a four point harness. You can go to

www.rallycross.us/

You can see some pictures of me in action and another vid along with the other people who go to the events as well.

This is great! I need to research the events in my area and perhaps get involved next year.

OK, I'm sold. I have auto-x'd for years and this looks cooler, especially in an EVO. The Cincy SCCA does a few of these every year, so I will put my mud/snow tires on and give it a shot.
