Attended he NASA-SE pot-O-Gold Rush this past weekend at Road Atlanta. Had a blast. Jim and Julie Pantas put on great events, lots good folks there and driving RA is a hoot. Met Shaun (reaperX) and his lovely wife. Got my checkride to DE3, so this was my last event in NASA DE2. Looking forward to passing anywhere now.

And here is a short clip of the last session of the day Sunday a DE 1-2 combined session. It was mostly a traffic jam point-fest, but I found this clean lap in there that actually ended up being my best of the weekend at 1min 43.9 sec. So I picked up 4 seconds over my first trip here last fall with MVP track time (made one 1-47 lap).

That was a good lap you ran there. I know I wont be able to out run ya on the straight, but I'll give ya a run through the corners .

Agreed. I'm likin the tire squeal on corner entry; that means you're giving it nearly all it can handle!

I gotta get to Road Atlanta sometime. But planning first time trips to Mid-Ohio and Road America this year as is.

 

Thanks guys, I'm workin on it. I am beginning to find the limits of the Star-Specs in several areas. But there are other areas on that track I still battle nerves. I'd be lying if I said going over the hill as Suzuki bridge at speed and holding it on the floor when you can't see the track is easy. Video does no justice to RA.

One thing I need to break down and do it the rear diff upgrade. I'd love me some throttle oversteer in turn 7 (sharp corner before the back stretch).

Of course I killed my 5th gear synchro second session Sunday, so that's first on the list.
