sway bar or roll center kit?

I'm setting my car up for NASA Time Trials and I'm trying to determine how to use my points.
Which would be more beneficial, sway bars or roll center kit. I don't have enough points to use both. The car is lowered but not slam because I do drive it on the street.

Current setup
- ohlins RT
- 11k front and 12k rear, that might change at later time
- hoosiers 255 R6

Honestly I'd use the points elsewhere if you are that tight.

But if I had to pick, I'd do swaybars personally.

Tough call... you will be able to feel the sway bar difference more than the RCK, but would it make the car faster? Given that you have CO's and can play with spring rates to get very close to your liking and therefore the use of sway bars should be for very fine tuning.

The RCK is used to fix the "core" handling of a lowered EVO so I'd lean more towards that, to have a good and solid foundation to build on top.

When I went to swift spec-R springs, I did the RCK at the same time just for the fact of lowering the car. I put on a larger rear bar only a year ago. Could not tell you which one would be faster, you'd have to do individual before and after tests...

xtnct, is point on...

the RCK would be a better option...

you can always play with your spring rates or your rebound/compression settings to help the car rotate around without the need of a upgraded swaybar...

Im not sure if you can swap out your endlinks without inquiring points but that in its self will increase your rear bar stiffness by 10%...

The car already has RCK on it, but i was debating on removing it to get points back for sway bars. I haven't driven an Evo for 3 years, so i can't compare how the car feels with or with out RCK. I did a track event last weekend and the car felt good but i have nothing to compare to because i just got the car back together last month.

If you've got the pts, I wouldn't remove the RCK. That is unless you KNOW you have something to install that's more worthwhile to spend the pts on.

If you wanna share more about your setup, post up or PM me.

Just a quick question to you guys....

For the point system, is it determined by the diameter of the sway bar?
If it is larger then OEM - it uses points?

What if there was a sway bar that is OEM size but 100% more rigid?

haha, wouldn't you like to see my mod list, see you at national buddy. just kidding

the car was setup for TTS last year before i purchased it. I brought it down to TTA this year to be more competitive. Had to remove some parts and add some weight back on.

btw, all car classification for Northeast TT are posted on the website for other drivers so see, nothing to hide here
my profile for this year hasn't been update yet though.
