Stoptch ST-40/ST-22
I’m looking to get a full system upgrade (4 corners) and noticed that Stoptech makes ST40-332mm/front and ST-22-328mm/back that supposed to fit under the stock 17” wheels. While I’m fully aware of the AP kit, but I’m looking to upgrade within the next week and would love to have all 4 corners done at the same time. Does anyone have track experience with Stoptech kits?

Personal experience yes, SLIGHTLY better then the brembo's on a buddies STI, still flex quite a bit i'm afraid. Pads in between the AP and Brembo prices, but seem prone to failures at 10/10ths. Actually Ziggy just had his fail on the World Touring evo X. Not sure if it was caliper related be he seemed to clue into as much. Put his car into the wall and him with broken bones. So would you want to spend 3000+ now, or wait and do it with the right parts. Handful of other Evo's have had some success with it or the Brembo GT kit in various venues. So I look at it as spending 100k on a porsche 997 street car, or spending 100k on a 996 GT3 Cup Car. Depends on what you want to do with it in the end and how important the details are to you.

More feedback please!
I think a few others are running the Stoptech ST40 kit. Looking for feedback on it compared to the stock Brembo's of course. Specifically the life of rotors and pads on the track. And obviously if there's been any issues!
I'd also like to get a weight on the 355mm setup.

I personal don't feel replacing the rear brakes are necessary. I feel the fronts should be replaced because they get abused. I have DBA rotors on the back and the thermal marks show they stay under 856 F.. If you’re going for the “look” then you can go with all four corners. If you just want better repeated stopping and not bleeding your brakes every session, then I would go with the AP race setup. I was concerned with the brake bias that’s why I choose the AP set up.. I’m not sure how the ST will do with just the front being replaced. I’d like to hear feedback by some that just has the fronts.

Concerning the caliper flex in the ST40's, the Stoptech trophy kit utilizes a monobllock caliper that decreases flex significantly. That said, like others have stated, depends on what you want out of it. A nice set of rotors, pads, and brake cooling ducts will go a long way.
