I was the same once. But after two years of regular track duty the car has changed and so has my attitude towards it. Everybody who starts tracking comes to a fork in the road and you have to make the decision, take the car no further, retain some amount of street-friendly manner to it, OR damn the torpedos I want to go faster!

If you take that fork, everything changes.

Very nice Jim!

If you are not afraid to do some cutting and fabricating on your bumpers there are much better paths for the hose for sure. Looks great and will deliver nice airflow!

Notice the off color front lip on mine? Trailer loading accident ripped my OEM lip off. Just bought a cheap FRP replacement and haven't bothered to paint it. That area takes a beating on track.

interesting.... Your routing is a just a little straighter than mine. I have an "s" kink but I used the original oval opening with 3" hose to compensate for the "s" which is funneled into 2.5" hose and then further funneled into the 2" before it goes off to the hub. Most people could not tell I had ducting when I had the original mesh installed (taken off when I had to replace the hose since I did not want to take the time to fiddle with it).

That hole is supposed to help with cooling the intercooler piping. I'm curious how that will change with that brake duct sitting there now.

Cooling the pipe that way is completely insignificant compared to what the IC does. I have not noticed any change whatsoever. Also, the VIII's had no holes there and were totally fine. It was probably added for looks/marketing as opposed to having any real functionality.

Anyway, if you really think these holes help you cool your intake temp...then don't cover them up. I think otherwise.

Doesn't work at all with an aftermarket IC (ETS):

No, I used the Binary Eng mounts at the wheels:

Is your ETS IC a wide tank?
