Homebrewed Brake Duct Solution
This is the best ducting thread I've found here so far. Can't believe I missed it back in Nov. I guess I was obsessed with something else back then.
I actually found it by googling: binary duct (brake OR fitment OR install)
just trying to figure out what all the options are. since I'm going ETS also the IX eye holes won't work for me either. but I'm not likely to cut holes in my bumper and don't know the first thing about fabricating fiber glass. still, brilliant solution.

Very nicely done, I can't use the holes at the IC couplers either since I have the ETS IC, so I'm also trying to find a way to route ducting without cutting up the bumper. Might have to come to that though...
Looks really nice!! I've been having difficulty with my larger intercooler, ACD pump, and oil cooler. This looks like a possible solution. I was also toying around with the idea of running naca ducts on the side of the front bumper, but I feel hose routing might be an issue.
You run Road Atlanta correct? I'd love to see the car in person for some inspiration.
Cheers,
CB

See you weekend after next at RA if you are coming.
just came across the thread, love the idea. since not everyone has a hot wire cutter i was thinking of a way to simplify it for the average person and wanted to run my idea by everyone.
to make the bumper mount tape wax paper to the mount area and lay up a couple pieces of fiber glass to get a rough outter shell. then take a small piece of pcv pipe whatever size you want the duct to be. cut a hole in the bumper mold the same size as the outter diameter of the piping, push the pipe thru leaving 1/4 to 1/2 inch sticking out and mold fiber glass around the edge to shape the lip of the duct, using epoxy to secure the pipe on the inside. cut and shape the out edges of the bumper mold to the desired shape and sand paint etc.
what ya think?
