Official 2012 Formula One Discussion Thread
Kevin, that I believe. After a case of beer, heck, you have won more races than Michael Schumacher, won LeMans, Indy, the Daytona 500 and the WRC a time or two.
Funny, but this thread is turning into something akin to the talking heads of NASCAR. Let's sanitize things a bit and say that that charming Pastor Maldonado maybe, possibly, pretty please should have been a wee bit more understanding in the corner and Lewis, bless his heart, pretty please with a little sugar on top should have been more insightful, because his younger F1 sibling is still in his formative years and needs room to express himself. After the race, each driver can sing a round of Kumbaya and Barney loves you while dancing through a garden of posies and daffodils with rainbows and unicorns on the walls.

True, but that didn't keep him from getting into collisions with Hamilton last year. There were at least a couple times that they got into it, and that appears to have carried over into this year as well.
Helmut Marko's official title from RB is "motor racing consultant"...in fact, he is more accurately described as the official "bullsh**!t artist of Red Bull racing"...how can I say this, U ask?...by listening to this when talking about the "reading" of Pirellis tires: "The result is that cars that are simple in design are easier to get to the windows in which the tyres work best."...Now if this were true, then why would RB B developing and implimenting there latest aero additions of double floors and mods to the sidepods, clearly a higher level of complexity?...and then we have his comments following the Valencia race:"It hurts (rivals) terribly when you're so superior,...In the race we had to tell Vettel 'Go slower! Even slower! And now even slower!...We know too well -- if you are too far ahead you definitely lose more friends than you make." ...really?...I suspect it is more about keeping UR innovations under raps than about making friends! This guy does not help RB..rather one has to question the wisdom of paying this guy one red cent!

Actually, Helmut Marko had a distinguished career as a racing driver. He drove the legendary Porsche 917K for Martini, was an F1 driver, has managed numerous teams in various formulas and convinced Dieter Mateschitz to enter racing with Red Bull. I have the utmost respect for him. I fail to see why it is necessary to besmirch him. After Schumi left F1 back in 2006, I supported Ferrari until Red Bull came on the scene with Sebastian Vettel. Red Bull is definitely my favorite team and Seb is my favorite driver, although Lewis and Jenson have gained a lot of respect from me. Helmut Marko has certainly had a profound effect on the success of Red Bull

Had to mess with you, BUT....didn't you already know that Ken besmirches everyone that's not a part of the Sauber Super Squad?!

As for Ken and his beloved Sauber team, bless his heart, but rooting for Sauber is like believing that the Vikings are going to win the Super Bowl. Every year, so much hype, so much enthusiasm, but at the end of the season when the last locker slams shut, there is only sadness and despair. My greatest joy would be to see Kobay booted from the team, but I suppose that is a pretty cold comment towards Ken.
