where starts to contact the antenna

fully open trunk

I haven't decided what splitter to go with yet. I like the Auotvation, but I'm not sure if it will fit my car. I sent them a few emails, they didn't respond back! The plywood option looks good thou and no problems seeing out of the back window, better than the stock wing.

"Completely unimpeded," to the point where you can't see the plane of the wing at all, even if you're trying to; probably not.

But "completely unimpeded" to the point where over 90% of your rear window area is open, or what I'd call "functionally unimpeded," yes.

I have an APR GTC-300 rear wing on the stock risers, which is at least 5"–6" lower than that Kognition wing, and my view out the back window is "functionally unimpeded," as in I never have a problem seeing what's behind me—on the street or at the track.

Which is FAR different than what it was like with the OEM wing (as you probably know, it blocks the view behind you well enough that you can't tell a Toyota Camry from an unmarked Crown Vic Police Interceptor).

Keep in mind that if you want a lighter weight custom splitter, or want to avoid the stigma of having plywood on your car , you can order a sheet of 3 to 6mm thick Alumalite or Dibond from a local sign shop (it's available in black) and use that instead... the general concept/mounting method I described will work either way. Retail pricing on a 4' x 8' sheet of Alumalite is about $200 though.

If you'd like to consider an aluminum splitter, Fulcrum Aeroworks down in Texas offers some options starting @ $320, without turnbuckles... they're not going to be bolt-on, though. Lots of DIY still required:

I can't wait to put my Kognition Wing on. I've had it sitting in the garage for 2 months now, but my car's been at GST getting the motor rebuilt

In regards to how much splitter to Wing balance. There is more to the splitter then just the length on which it sticks out past re front bumper. You also need an effective air damn and the mounting / material needs to be strong enough to not bend or lose shape.

Can someone PM me the best place to get these?

Or do I wait for another 20% deal to roll around, if that even comes back? Thanks.

It's between this ($$) and an Aeromotions R2 Static ($$$$) for me.

The only place to get it is from Kognition directly... If there is another 20% sale, it won't be until the end of the year again.

Don't suppose you could provide a couple more close ups of where you mounted the support straps and what you used (hardware wise)? I'd like to get a splitter done before the season starts, but I'm already behind the 8 ball.

Lol, awesome pic. What is the length on the splitter? I'm trying to keep my front splitter to 5'' (for RTA Street Mod rules) and the air dam is ~2'' which should be enough to even out the Kognition wing. My wing should be mounted on Tuesday.
