I use AMSOIL as well, very good stuff. If you don't have ducts, you might want to get those soon.

Went from ATE to SRF; no more fluid boiling, soft pedal, frequent flushing/bleeding, etc... 6 track days so far and not a single bleed.

I use the Amsoil brake fluid because it has resisted absorbing water as quickly as the Motul does.

Living in Seattle, WA that is a serious problem as it rains, oh..... 270-300 days per year.

Call me crazy but when i go racing the last thing im going to risk, especially at +3200lbs of race weight with a car that moves pretty fast, is brake fluid. I dont care how special it is, im going to bleed my brakes before every weekend event. And depending on the event, i may bleed them between races also.

Eh, I hope you guys don't bash me too hard but I felt that since I started the thread I should fess up to my choice. I'm going to use napa dot for which has loww 400's dry and minimum 311 wet. After my next autox and track day at Sebring I will swich to motul or ATE blue. Reason I went with Napa dot 4 is because of price. Since I'm spending on ton on start up racing costs like safety gear, and other preventative maintence my budget is a little stretched. In a few months and having gotten rid of the start up cost I will be able to fine tune things such as a higher grade brake fluid. I ran the Napa DOT 4 in my old rx7's in the mountains and it worked ok. Downhill they got a little heated though. I know, you get what you pay for. As for now, at least I feel its a slight upgrade from stock and what a lot of other cars are using. I'll report back after the race.
I do appreciate everyone's feedback and shared knowledge.
Thanks,
Damon
Since I'm a road course newbie I do not plan on being very competitive initially and probably won't be pushing to hard until a get a good feel for the car and my capabillites.

Obviously that's against everyone's recommendations here... Those of us that have had our cars on track use stuff that works and if you read through everybody uses the same stuff - AMSOIL DOT4, SRF mostly with a couple using ATE and Motul.

Seems pretty odd to me to try and save $10 on fluid when you've got how much logged into 1 track day - or into the entire car?

Story:
I seen a guy (former NASA TT National champion) show up last weekend at the track in a C6 Vette he just picked up the night before. He didn't change the brake fluid because in his words "...I only need 1 lap for TT..." Well, guess how far he made it? In the first session he was parked off of T 1/2 in the grass with smoke coming from both wheel-wells... On his first lap even.

Stock(ish) fluid FTL.
