Anyone going to watch Speed's massive coverage of LeMans this weekend? Should be really good. 4 Audi R18's, 2 of them E-Trons and 2 are Ultras. And, Toyota has the TS030 Hybrid cars, one of which qualified third behind on E-Tron and one Ultra. Then there is the great GT racing. Pulling for Corvette again this year. All in all, this is racing nirvana.

 

Certainly not going to watch all 24 hours of it

I'll be watching. My team I follow is Team Flying Lizard. I have a man crush on Patrick Long. They are on pole for the GTE AM class

 

Yeah, the Delta Wing should be quite interesting to see. It is so unconventional with its very narrow front track, but hopefully, it will do well. Kind of adds spice to the race.

The delta wing is running but will certainly not be contending for anything other than just finishing the race

^^Saw it. Big hit for both cars. They blamed the Porsche for getting into the prototype 1 driver in hospital

 

^ Terrible accident. That amateur Ferrari driver just turned into Anthony Davidson. The car did a complete 360 in the air before landing on the back wheels and then crashing into the tires. Otherwise, Toyota is really competitive. Hanging in there with Audi.

 

I feel bad for Anthony Davidson...but they say he's okay.

 

Too bad that Nakajima did such a boneheaded move into the Deltawing. Would have made for a great race with Audi. Oh well, next year...

Racing at night has got to be quite the experience. The visual cues come up so quick vs daytime
The prototypes are such beautiful cars w/ their all LED set-ups

 

Anyone else notice the Toyota chassis looked very very similar to the discontinued Peugeot LMP1 cars? Same crew, same drivers plus japanese dudes, and same sponsors... hmmmmm

I dont follow the series that close to have noticed, but good eye for sure

I really enjoyed the race, more so this year.

 

LOL I will take that as a compliment!! I grew up 15min from Road Atlanta, never missed an Petit Le Mans
