Custom rear diffuser?

Bored, and thinking about making one over the winter/off-season.

I searched and searched, but wasn't able to find any threads on people making their own rear diffuser.

Anyone have any links to a how-to, or to a build thread with a rear diffuser build within it?

Thanks guys.

PS - this will be on USDM 8/9 bumper.

Where did you get those rear window slats? I'd love a set!

He probably got them from Rexpeed. I linked the black, but they also have carbon fiber for more $$$.

Who makes that, and where did you get it?

Exactly the style I was looking for.

there is A LOT to take into account if your trying to build an actually effective/functional diffuser. the one posted above looks pretty decent. one issue is that with how low the pare tire tub sits its tough to get a good enough ramp angle.

i had a another thought...in the latest pictures you posted i dont see the splitter on the car that used to be before you bought it. are you running it? if you're giving yourself a lot of understeer.

I did not run it at the autocross, but I will be on trackdays.

Made mine with alumalite. Took 4 sheets to do the entire bottom of the car, and a lot of thinking to make it all easy to take off and get on the trailer.

I didn't have a spare tire well but I did have the fuel cell in that position. It was at 10 deg which was exactly the slope of the rear bumper. I think it was 42" long for the strakes.

It was 2.5" of ground clearance from front to back.
