Alumilite and econolite can be purchased at commercial sign companies. Garston signs is were I found them. around $80 for 4x8 sheets. Then when you inherit money you can replace it with carbon fiber!

so true.

and yes, we get our alumalite from a sign company in 4x8 sheets. we use the thiner version of it, but the thicker one might be better for the front splitter. we also got the alumalite edging for it as well so it doesn't look so unfinished.

Someone did a how to on these a while back on this site so you might search around for that. Prices on these have gone up since I bought for sure.

Cool, cool.

I guess I'll make this a priority over the winter.

have you ran any event where you have to drive the car for 30+ minutes? any issues with over heating the rear diff since it doesn't look like much air gets back there.

We did some 20-25 minute practice sessions with the car here in Dallas. Ambient temps were 90-100 deg and sunny. We were not measuring rear diff temps, so I cannot comment on that. There was very little ariflow (practically none) because the only openings in the undertray were at the wheel wells. But, this being a dedicated race car, we changed the fluids often (well, only once because the car jumped off a cliff before we could do it again).

Heat is a big issue when you do something that completely encapsulates the underbody stuff. To address the exhaust heat issues, we had the entire system ceramic coated and then wrapped most of it with header wrap.

We also put gold reflective tape on the undertray itself. The exhaust still came very close to the undertray so this helped reduce the chances of burning through

do you think adding a NACA duct just in front of the rear diff would allow some air in to cool the diff but not interrupt to much air flow to the rear diffuser?

I didn't even think to talk to DHP about a rear diffuser.

If you don't mind posting it, what was the cost on that?

You can PM me if you don't want to post it.
