Hoosier A6 tire pressure?

Okay, I did some searches, but couldn't find an absolute answer.

I have an autocross tomorrow, and it's suppose to be 66 and partly sunny, as opposed to my last autocross which it was 50 degrees and wet. At that race, I ran 39.5/40 cold, and that seemed to produce good results - only a little understeer (should have raised the front pressure a tad).

Tire: Hoosier A6
Tire size: 275/35/18
Rim size: 18x10
Front Camber: -3.3*
Rear Camber: -1.8*
Evo Weight: 2950 without me in it

What would be good cold pressures to start at?

Thanks guys! Hopefully I can bring home another 1st place tomorrow.

Here is what Hoosier recommends. http://www.performancetread.com/hoosier-tire-care

I tend to like the lower side of that scale. 37-38 hot pressures is what i find to be nice.

Thanks for the link!

I'll start a little lower than my "wet" pressures, and I'll go from there. I always bring my compressor anyways.

My experience with the tire temps matches very closely with what Hoosier said on their website. You may need to tweak it a little and you may want to use the chalk method, which will determine if you are using too much or too little air pressure.

For those of you that don't know what the chalk method is, you use the chalk to draw a line from the side wall to the tread. When you come off the track, you should check and see how much of the chalk line is gone. This will tell you if you need to add or remove air pressure. If you look closely at the side walls of the tire you can see the line after "for competition use only, that's the useable tire and if you still have chalk on the tire tread you need to lower the pressure and if you have no chalk line past the sidewall then you need to add air pressure. This is the best way to do it, but it can be a pain in the a@@ to get right.

My setup likes the same range.
