2014 Climb to the Clouds :) press release.
That is just crazy that they are not letting any small rally teams enter in Rally class. I guess you could just try and enter open and run without a co-driver? ( You seem pretty screwed right about now in regards to running big hillclimbs with a co-driver.)
Between the 20 spots they have for RA and the 12 for invited vintage class that leaves about 40 spots for everyone else. I have a feeling that the local NE guys will get most of those spots just like last time. Sure doesn't leave much for anyone else!

I got new reiger suspension etc for my car . finally i am getting close to be a proper rally car. I would not change anything right now.
From the letter comes down to me i am not good enough for the event, and the reality is i beat many good ra drivers in that event. Sure i cant compete with 200 000 dollar and up cars so as skills like Higgins have etc. but i thought i am able to give out a fair fight for the rest
SInce i was able to beat for an example: John Cassidy :

Chris Duplessis:

Wimpey brothers:

Cyril Kearny:
most known as a flying subaru

etc.

If they let you run in another class, do it! Race the mountain not the other cars. You need all the time you can get there to master it. "The only bad race tracks are the ones you can't drive on."

Not sure if anyone is aware, but the registration for it started today (December 1st) and I think it goes until the 31st. I'm sure alot of New Englanders will be registered for it, but it would be awesome to get some of you guys out from other parts of the country.
I myself, won't be competing. I am an active member of SCCNH and I will be volunteering to help on the mountain. I may get a little bored if I don't see any Evo's though
EDIT:

this is to opinion from a rally forum about this. I dont think we have to say more on that. I am really dissapointed specially when i am living in the country where let say the discrimination ( if that is a wright word here) should be a big no no. Anyway it is what it is.
Does it qualify here?
"Discrimination is the prejudicial and/or distinguishing treatment of an individual based on their actual or perceived membership in a certain group or category, "in a way that is worse than the way people are usually treated."[1] It involves the group's initial reaction or interaction, influencing the individual's actual behavior towards the group or the group leader, restricting members of one group from opportunities or privileges that are available to another group, leading to the exclusion of the individual or entities based on logical or irrational decision making.[2]"
Definitions:
"Based on realistic-conflict theory[6] and social-identity theory,[7] Rubin and Hewstone[8] have highlighted a distinction among three types of discrimination:
1./ Realistic competition is driven by self-interest and is aimed at obtaining material resources (e.g., food, territory, customers) for the in-group (e.g., favouring an in-group in order to obtain more resources for its members, including the self).
2./ Social competition is driven by the need for self-esteem and is aimed at achieving a positive social status for the in-group relative to comparable out-groups (e.g., favouring an in-group in order to make it better than an out-group).
3./ Consensual discrimination is driven by the need for accuracy[clarification needed] and reflects stable and legitimate intergroup status hierarchies (e.g., favouring a high-status in-group because it is high status)."
i know its a strong statement and i just playing here. Good thing i am not a lawyer, and i dont want to be ...lol
so the quotes:
"
The one thing that no one has address so far is why complete control of the rally classes was handed over to RA in the first place? Considering that the rally classes were handled quite well/fairly by the actual event organizers in 2011, and after everything about the the entire 2014 event was supposedly already set up, why the change? What is RA giving in return?

" More like how much is Subaru giving both parties and pushing the structure.
If Subaru is going to title sponsor the hill climb and run a team and or support RA it makes a lot of sense to try to cross leverage both when they can. I am. It saying that I think Subaru would try to influence the results but control of the rally classes by RA helps give RA a way to leverage the field, raise the series profile, and ensure basic story lines that can be positive for Subaru.
