Rear upper control arm issues.
No curb or anything was hit. Was simply doing an autocross run and this happened:

Has anyone else had this issue? anything stronger out there to prevent this from happening? Do these BFG R1s's really have that much grip??

yes that is the stock control arm mount.
Edit- I take that back, maybe this isn't an OEM mount.
They almost look like the whiteline ones but obviously not yellow bushings.

My stock ones have a gradual slope to the rounded part that goes through the arm, that one kinda looks flat but it may just be me. Odd ya I haven't seen that failure before. Either those bolts came loose or were loose and the vibrations fatigued the metal or you REALLY pulled hard outward. Fatigue makes more sense.

I think you are right, I'm pretty sure they are the WORKS bushings.
There was a sweeping right hander and it was slightly bumpy. Must have been just enough shock on it to shear the mount.

We broke ours at Spring . We had it welded to finish the event but I replaced both sides when we got home. In the picture, the top pivot is the works bushing. The bottom pivot is the stock type and is also used in the Whiteline replacement. You can see that the bottom pivot has more meat on it.
