I'm also assuming they separate cars and bikes. The McLaren has his window most of the way up in that video which is a bit of a sign of how things might run there.
Things are VERY Different up there....Look at this.....(Was just supposed to be a drag race, but who wants to let out??)

Seat time is great. Being caught up in a bunch of retards without proper rules creating dangerous situations isn't. Maybe that's too harsh, but the window up was red flag number one and now this is number two. No club worth its salt would let this **** happen.

Yes...Same guy. I still have a few bikes (although I haven't been on track with them in a couple years...) and I have a few cars as well.

Haven't seen or heard from most of the TSSB crew in years....Are they still around?

I know what you're saying, but they're actually pretty good about safety - but will bend the rules a bit to do different things. Having bikes and cars on track together isn't a common practice.

I still think you should check out the track. There are so few cars there, that you will probably never see many of them in a session.

What are their passing rules? Point by only? Designated straights only? Their FAQ and rules are extremely vague and basically just a guidline of common sense on being a normal member of society, nothing technical about their regulations. I love the idea of $50 membership and then 8 events of you choosing for $240 each. I'd just like some more assurance that it's not a fiasco.

Just went there this weekend with the club "track time 4 cars". Passing is by point by anywhere there is a straight. The paddock is small and a bit tight but manageable. The track really does feel like a rollercoaster. There are so many turns so close together and nice elevation changes. I must have had something bad to eat that morning because i started to feel nauseous and wound up only doing one session. That was a shame because the schedule called for a session on the top of every hour minus one hour for lunch. That would have been like 7 sessions. Me being short (5'6"), the mirror blocks my vision on tight left turns. This leads me to not be able to see the apex until its right in front of me. The was a real problem on turn one for me in nyst. With the mirror being in the way i was practically blind on turn 1 until the apex was almost right in front of me.

I'm stopping over next Sunday for a tour of the track and plan on joining for next season. Was there any classroom time between sessions or group meetings to discuss the track or driver issues?

No classroom times. Only a general drivers meeting in the morning. There were 2 bike groups and one car group. It would be nice to balance the number of sessions with at least one classroom session.

overall, it sounds like they are just free for all track days that would be good for seat time/test and tunes, or bring your own instructor. it would appear they are probably just allowing cars to gain income and catering to bike training.

that being said...lemme know how you make out. if membership remains below 100 bucks a year ill probably join up next year also.
