First timers:

VIR has covered the area where you pit with a strange sandy substance. Be sure to take a ground cloth to put your stuff on & a spare set of shoes for driving only. I am still vacuming the stuff up from my interior, 4 months later.

A really fine grey granular surface, IIRC...
If there's a slight breeze, it puts a nice coating of dust on a black Evo...

Being this is my fifth VIR event, we have a nickname for it:

VIR Beach.

It's still in my tool set.

It gets in everything.

Learn to love it. It's associated with one of the best tracks in the southeast.

3. Lots of water or gatorade
4. Good Full size jack - and use it.. not the stock jack (Right Shawn )

yep was a virgin

definitely a *****

on a side note...
another thing i noticed a few people destroyed some rotors out there. If you're unsure about the life expectancy of tires, pads or rotors. Bring extras.

shawnhayes in his red evo ran.
and his instructor drove a silver evo (not sure of his name on here)
BTW his instructor drove his *** off. I was lucky enough to get a ride along with him. We had the car sideways more than it was straight. Definitely one of the fastest drivers out there this weekend. Everyone was talking about how impressed they were with the evos. I know there was a few corvette owners that i talked to that said I came out of no where behind them. Passed them a few times.

Hey, the stock jack would have worked fine had I not done something stupid. Trying to break loose the rear lugnuts while the front was on the jack was what went wrong. No jack would have fixed that problem - I was tired and lost concentration - so I was the problem.

Yeah. Me too. Gotta get my pictures up sometime.

Very little damage from that stupid mistake, BTW. Almost none. Not quite none, but almost none.

Allright. What everyone ELSE saw from their front windshields at the track on the weekend:

Represented:

D group
C group
Instructor group
