keep in mind hes also running the trunk lip spoiler or whatever you wanna call it which will manipulate the results.

I figured, but it looks like the air is going under the foil from the roof, judging by the strings, but I could be wrong. Seems like the trunk lip thingy would only afect the air after it. Not sure how much actually hits that thing anyway. Not much from all the diagrams, I've seen.
Can anyone confirm?

it may not have a huge effect, i dont really know. but it has SOME effect. if you look back into the sierra sierra days, they ran a rather large gurney on the trunk lip. my understanding is that it servers to "charge" a diffuser because it will create a low pressure area at the trunk/rear bumper. that being said i would still think it has an effect on the rear wing in the area of efficiency, but i have no idea what that would look like in flow. i cant really see what that spoiler looks like in the video either.

It's a Rexspeed Type 3 trunk lid spoiler. I don't believe it affects the flow around the stock IX wing at all and I think that the flow around the stock wing at the standard height is good, but it is a low downforce airfoil.
