New Northeast Track for 2015

Looks like Palmer Motorsports Park might be opening in 2015...
Pay no attention to the rock walls staring down at you.

Not much info on their site yet, but under events > clubs & groups they list several including NASA NE, SCDA, Loose Nut and Northeast Track Days. So sounds like it might be accessible.

Palmer and Tamworth are both looking to open in 2015.

Looks like it's in a rocky area so that's to be expected during construction, they don't have any curbs or anything yet.

It's not even close to being done yet. Obviously the safety walls will come.

I know, but they could still manage to not put something up that is up to everyone's standards...which is sort of what happened with the ny track

NYST was always primarily set to be a bike track, that's why there aren't any hard barriers or armcos. I don't think they care much at this point if cars want in or not. Especially with their legal battles with the neighbors.

even if they put barriers up, what happens to the car if it fly over the barriers. track looks like tires killer with 5 U-turns.

I don't know.. Don't mind taking a risk, but this one is little too much of a risk. Without a full cage, I would be worried to run there flat out.

Looks fun, and/but also looks extremely dangerous. Will take A LOT of work to make that safe to any organization to go there, as there's no runoff anywhere… just rocks/cliffs.

I'd be very surprised if it opened next year

Looking forward to checking it out in person. I believe they are having an open house this weekend for anyone local.

Well, NASA NE has a note on their site now about a possible date at Palmer in 2015. So I would bet that plenty of catch-fencing is planned. Let's hope so...
