It's not but one of the three drivers does own that car and runs it in the Optima Ultimate Street Car series, among other things.

Any idea how the car is setup? Engine, suspension, brakes, aero mods etc...

Thanks,
David

Sitting in 4th overall with NCM and then a skidpad at Tire Rack. We are not too far behind to catch at least one of the GTR's.

Car isn't anything off the wall. Its a well setup car by Ron at RS Motors. 2.0L with a RS modified stock turbo making 420whp on e85. Ohlins suspension, very little aero (APR splitter/wing), stock brakes (ST43 pads).

If you guys don't mind - I am very curious about what spares you brought and what the setup is on the trailer (hitch + trailer itself).

I had this goal of doing this before turning 30, and that ship has sailed, but I do still want to do it someday (when it comes to VIR / Summit / east coast stuff).

... as unlikely as that is

Thank you guys!

95% credit must go to Ron at RS Motors for putting together the best Evo I've ever driven. Fast + reliable.

We originally purchased 2 sets of tires, a set of Z2's (Non Star Specs) and a set of the new Bridgestone RE71's. Some early testing from others running the RE71's showed much quicker wear. We didn't have time to do any testing of our own to verify their claims. We didn't want to risk it. We decided to go with the Z2's as we knew they would last no problem throughout all the events and transit miles.

After doing this event and seeing how little the tires wore, we regret not going with the RE71's.

Are the nonstar's a 300 TW? I thought I remembered reading some time ago the one lap required a min TW. Must be funny seeing Charles in the Atom for all those miles...and loosing to ya
