CP 8350's/Ducting

For anyone who has ran the CP8350's, how did you run the ducting to the caliper/rotor? I have the binary engineering brackets but they don't work with the new caliper brackets. Any tips appreciated.

Well seems I route the tubes slightly different ways each time and just tedious and annoying however with this setup I have ZERO braking issues. It just works. Can't remember if I mentioned it before but at 400whp on e85 and only run NT01's and the occasional 200tw tire

that's good to hear - you still are using the ducting though?

I am. Depending on the track you may get away without it but it's not like you will go through the trouble of doing so. I'm just happy it works and one huge thing I don't have to think about while driving. She gonna stop

How do you think the CP8350 kit compares to doing Evo X front brakes? I'm worried that the CP8350 won't stand up to very hard track use being only 5mm bigger than stock Evo 8/9 brakes. If they did, I'd love to save the weight with the AP's. I'll be running Endless 650 fluid and Forge brake ducts. I just DON'T want to worry about losing my brakes on track due to heat.

Night and day. Engineering wise the list goes on and on. Rotors are hella better then the usual street choices. Pad taper went down to 3% vs 30% on oem brembos. It's Stiffer, you can go deeper, all the things the way she likes Brake ducts will assist in 20min + sessions but you won't ever "loose" brakes. If you do now that's more to do with fluid and pad choice then it is a caliper failure.

Speaking which did Austin ever get those brackets made?

I can confirm what Balrok is saying. Same experience and they are much cheaper to run as a package. However, I will say if you exceeding 600+ WHP on 3,000 lbs, you will need to go bigger as no amount of ducting will help. I currently run the Essex AP9660 and don't need and run ducts. But I'm also only doing 3-4 hot laps.

Yeah, I'll be like 80% autocross and 20% lap days and time attack. I should just be doing 3-4 hot laps at a time and am only at 350 WHP and around 3200 lbs so with the Forge ducts I'm thinking i'll be safe.

What are you running in the rear with the AP9660 to get a good brake balance?

I'm on OEM rears. The Essex kit was designed to work with the factory rears. To my knowledge, there really isn't that much braking performance/improvement to upgrade the rear. I can put years of track abuse on the rears without replacing them.

Oh yeah you will be just fine at that power on the track. AX depending on the course and temps I usually block off the ducts
