After talking with over DM's he seems like a really cool down to earth guy and I am surprised he's not trying to advertise on here. I randomly found out about him by watching a vid of an EVO X on youtube where the guy was trying out a Comp turbo and in the comments he replied to people posting on his vid that he had parted ways with Comp due to multiple issues and he tagged "Art Gennari Turbo" so I looked it up. Found his build thread on here and was cool to see someone go from knowing nothing about EVO tuning or turbo powered cars to having a business like his within 4 years. So a few DM's later and a deposit was sent. It's nice when guys are small enough still that you can get direct contact fairly easy. Like I mentioned before I'm not hating on bigger more known companies because I know they had to work their way up and likely started from nothing at some point but I just like having that connection. His price was well under what a bare bones FP Green would have cost and only slightly more than the 71HTA. Seemed like a smoking value and I will likely send him my current core to have built to the same spec to take on the road as a spare if it all works out.

Sounds really good! I think there are some limitations I have to follow so I'll look them up and PM you this evening to see if it fits within the rules.

Perfect. Shoot me a PM with your email and if you want anything in the splitter like diffusers or skid blocks etc. That will allow me to mark any holes to mount them center/symmetrical for you.

Lol which thread? There's more than one good option out there. If I posted in that thread then it probably wasn't on my mind at that time.

I've chatted with Tyler a bit and he's a smart guy with a good head on his shoulders. I don't run his product but plenty of people have good reviews for his turbos and he's done a good job growing his business the past couple years. I'm also a big FP fan. FP gets a lot of flak, they've gotten larger and larger and as you put out more and more product you're bound to have a few bad eggs. Robert has never left a bad taste in my mouth and I'll continue to support his product until otherwise.
I get flack from a lot of people because they are like "why did you buy adjustable suspension if you are not going to adjust it?". They have a point :P To be honest I get a bit sideways when I'm at track days and guys are talking about the car is doing this or that and constantly adjusting stuff yet they are running 2:10's on a big tire high hp car at BW CW13. Just always wanted to focus on enjoying HPDE days but it's time to pull up my big boy pants and get to work PM incoming!

Hell yeah, I plan on competing in GTA enthusiast class as well. Doing a shake down at the end of the month at buttonwillow to get a feel for the car since it’s been 6-7 years since I’ve tracked. I’ll be running a shock that’s not even remotely as good at the Ohlins, so you’ll be in good shape haha I also was considering buying a set of those depending on how my shake down goes. I have my retune for 100oct scheduled, and my alignment stuff scheduled a few days before my shakedown weekend.

Kind of lol my mom and siblings live there so I’m there fairly often, but I work out of state in Texas, so Texas is where I am 80-90% of the time. I’m going to try and make it to COTA but we shall see. I was planning on going to every event but the two in Washington, but if I miss COTA then I’ll go to one of the two ridge events. I need to buy a truck and trailer soon also.

Leme know on the truck search. I just saw a sweet Dmax at auction yesterday that had lift pump and tune with 67k miles go for low 20's. I had a 1500 work truck with the v8 I sold yesterday for 7300. Have a tacoma now, black, lifted, wheels tires but the v6 would be a stretch on cross country.

I was staying with the GF last week and started looking at property down in the Greenville area. Might be moving down your way in the next year or two. I can't imagine committing to running GTA West coast events living on the East coast hahaha

ooo big baller lol. Lots of em - but specifc to that trim and engine and years, in the south, you're somewhere between 25.8 and 34.6 with miles/class/condition factored in for SRW's. The Dmax's will always be cheaper with less issues normally. Whats the budget?

budget is ~$35k for the right truck lol I’ve had two cummins and one duramax, and my company work trucks have always been Fords with the 6.7 diesel, and they’ve grown on me and given me little issue to be honest. With my 2019 F350 I pulled 12,000lbs on a daily basis and she did it with no issue. I pulled ~21,000 with my 2019 F250 (scaled at 31,000lbs at the truck stop) about 400 miles one way other day and put her on cruise control at 80mph on I-10 the whole way with very few drops in speed.

In my personal and professional experience, the 6.7 Scorpion is better put together than the 6.6 LML. The LML is known for nuking fuel pumps and once that happens you're faced with replacing most of the high pressure fuel system. Also, changing out the fuel pump on a Duramax is a ***** of a job.

I've seen the LML CP4 go 2 times on the same truck. Thankfully the guy was still under warranty both times but the dealer estimates were $11k because they were basically replacing the whole fuel system including injectors etc. Combine this with early LML DEF issues and man it's almost as much of a failure as Ford's 6.0 :P

I'm a Chevy/GMC guy through and through and own a fleet of work trucks with half of them being diesels but I have to admit the 6.7 in the later years have been more reliable for me than expected. I would still always choose a Chevy/GMC over a Ford for towing a race car setup just due to front suspension and ride differences.

My personal opinion is diesel stuff is overkill for towing a one car trailer. The superduty/HD parts tend to be more expensive than the standard duty trucks regardless of brand. The only poor experiences I've had towing with a standard duty truck is with my old man's 4 speed 1500 Silverado and the issue was the 4 speed lol.

I really like the boosted 6 cylinder gas engines that Ford's been using and I wish Ram and Chevy would follow suit and add some to their lineup. Instead RAM soldiers on with V8s and Chevy has passed 6 cylinders and gone straight to 4 cylinders. I love the 3.5 in my F150, instant torque and good gas mileage, no problematic cylinder deactivation systems and easy to service. Dual injection means the best of both worlds for fuel injection too. It's pretty much a light duty diesel without the extra diesel tax and noisy clatter.

troof. I get a LOT of guys with faster cars coming into our garages, not believing what's not done to my car. It ain't the fastest, but it sure does surprise a lot of people. That's more fun to me than people looking at it and being like, "oh, yeah, that explains it".

P.S. Finding a functional splitter for our cars is really, really hard but if you send PA an outline of your lip, they'll cut one for ya. Not sure it goes back far enough, though. Our only other option is to make our own, which is turning out to be a bit more difficult than I expected.

Those 3.5's with bolt ons and a tune will give most tuned EVO's a run for their money!

It's funny that you mention overkill because as we speak my 05 Duramax is getting it's 3rd turbo upgrade since 650hp & 1,200wtq wasn't enough. Also because I blew up the 14 bolt 11.5 diff when my little brother got back from his 1 1/2 year deployment from SK this year we had some major grudge match racing to catch up on :P Moving from a 64mm to a 68/71 with a custom vane setup that should have stock like spool. Already have fueling mods and on my 3rd built tranny that's ready for that compound setup once I get bored with the single. We're going to be shooting for 750+ whp and over 1,400wtq on this single for now. Axle is currently out getting the axle tubes welded to the housing and ready for my grizzly locker to go in to hopefully hold all that torque.

One good thing that came from all this dumb stuff I've been doing to my truck is when I towed the S200 back from near Seattle Washington all the way back to L.A. I averaged just under 19mpg. I can see as high as 21 over flat land at 65mph and about the lowest I see is 14mpg pulling a steep grade at a speed that I don't really want to say Around town with my led foot always wanting to get on boost I see an overall average of 13-14. I've towed some of our heavy equipment and I can see similar mileage if I baby the throttle and keep it at 55mph or lower.

I never was a truck guy until I started working on and maintaining our fleet of trucks at work. Always thought it was silly that people drove around in big empty trucks all day but now I primarily drive my diesel on a daily basis. Really don't ever see myself selling my truck.

Haha yea it's bonkers that they come from the factory now with 1000lb/ft. I'm hoping to leave my truck alone at least through the end of its warranty haha. Mayyybe I'll grab and upgraded intercooler before that lol
